Laura Faye Smith spent most of her career as an actress in Portland, Oregon, but is thrilled to now be a California resident and joining the community here in LA - both as an actress and as an audience member.  She frequently worked with both Tim True and Val Stevens on Portland stages, and couldn't be happier to be personally and artistically reunited with them and Britt Harris through the creation of Door Number 3.

Regionally, she has worked at theatres such as Portland Center Stage, Gulfshore Playhouse, Artists Repertory Theatre, Third Rail Repertory Theatre, Profile Theatre, Oregon Children's Theatre, Theatre Vertigo, Portland Playhouse, and Coho Theatre.  Her passion is new work, and she is honored to have been a part of the JAW playwright's festival at Portland Center Stage for the past ten years, working with brilliant playwrights such as Adam Bock, Will Eno, Kimberly Rosenstock, and Mia Chung, just to name a few.

She has appeared in several independent short films, and her television work includes appearances on NBC's Grimm, and TNT's Leverage.  As a voice over artist, she is the voice of Princess Rosalina for Nintendo's Super Mario Brother's games, as well as the voice of Kana (male) for the English cast of Nintendo's Fire Emblem fates.  She voices numerous characters for Mad Head games, and also has worked extensively in commercials, and narrates audiobooks.
